Oh no, you've locked your posts. I have been a lurker for a while...sorry. You contacted me once through Liquid Passion to help out with a translation called Love Prism. Through my curiosity, I wondered if you were my own personal translator from California by the name of Grace. (I don't ask a lot of questions. Grace does a great job, and who knows if that is a pseudonym of not). But, through lurking, I have come to enjoy reading your posts - they are well written, enjoyable, and passionate. Which made me search out your fanfics, which are equally as good. Your ability to express yourself creatively is shown through your posts.

I am embarrassed to admit I am a lurker, but I would like to continue to read your posts. Mine, unfortunately, are quite boring, so I have a feeling that if you friend me, I will get more out of this arrangement than you will.

When I first come upon your posts and comments on gravi_muse_meet your opinions struck me as unusually considerate and mature. Then I read your Gravitation fics and was impressed with your mastery of language and ability to explore psychological subtleties of relations between characters (I can’t wait to read the next chapter of “Collateral”! ^_^).
After that it became obvious that the next station would be your LJ ;). And although I had some ideas of what I could expect, I was still unprepared for what I actually found! On the one hand a serious discussion about religion or indifference to violence, on the another hand an elaborate account of troubles with adopting a guinea-pig (you won me completely with this! :)) with musings about Bjork’s video (I love it, too!) and “Nightmare before Christmas” thrown between! (and all of this written in such a way, that it was a real pleasure to read) When I was moving from one post to another, I heard in my mind Monty Python’s phrase: “And now for something completely different...” ;))
But what made your writing so compelling for me is your attitude to life - you seem to be such an idealist, yet not naive one but mature enough to know that it’s day-to-day struggle to try to live according to your beliefs.
It was so refreshing to find such an open-mindedness and respect for other people’s points of view, and most of all this disarming optimism and passion!
I had a great time reading your journal and naturally I want more! :) So I would be very grateful if you add me to your friend list! :) (especially since you say your f-locked posts are even more interesting and funny [more? is it possible +_+ ..?])

p.s. Why did you call your LJ “Blond-haired Anubis”? I guess I can understand the choice of colour ;), but do you have something to do with the underworld? ;)

didn't you post this before? do you repost it now and again for those new to your journal? or am i missing someting? i have not been online much this month. i always find your posts interesting and would be sad to be dropped from the locked list because i didn't respond to this post.

It's the same post every time, I just keep changing the date to bump it higher on my current posts for those new to my journal. (Some LJ users change the date to 2010 or something so the "Comment to be added" thread always shows up as the top post, but that's too distracting for me)

Don't worry--I would never drop a friend just because they didn't answer this post. =D I just made this thread because some people feel more comfortable with a formal request thread like this than jumping in on a random post.

You and I talk all the time, jewlp! I'd never cut you for not being around as much for a few months. ;) I'd only drop someone if they hadn't updated their own journal at all for months and months, I hadn't heard from them in comments, and it looks like they've just lost interest in LJ completely. (And even then, I'd add them again if they decided to come back)

Don't worry; I'm not going to make people jump through hoops to be friends. I don't like those mind games like, "Comment to this thread or I'm dropping you." =/
